ABOUT ME

young, energetic, extremely charming open minded man, who lived all around the world, currently anchored in Chicago, USA by my multiple interests in human brain and psychology, Spanish and Portuguese language and Salsa dancing, hanging out with amazing friends, exploring Latin American cuisine and learning to make those meals at home (still unsuccessfully). I can't wait to try scuba diving, white water rafting, sailing on the Caribbean, listening to local music, going to concerts and traveling with friends.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a nice spacious apartment where I am used to have friends over that I have met during my travels and entertaining them and showing them the beauty of my city. I love to make friend's visits to Chicago as memorable as possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met some lovely people while traveling both while abroad(Dominican Republic) and in the U.S. I am so grateful to couchsurfing for making it possible and easy to meet people even for just coffee or a drink when you are traveling.My trip to Brazil 2012:I will be in Brazil for 6 weeks, I will probably be requesting couches for only 1-2 weeks of this, during the times that I will have more time to hang out and get to know cities.I will be in Fortaleza for 4 weeks, living with a family I am close to.  During these 4 weeks, I will take one weekend(26Jan-28Jan) where I will be in Salvador for Festival do Verão, and it would be great to have people to go to concerts with.  After that I will be in Rio for Caranaval and to experience the city, then Belo Horizonte.  After that, I will come back to Salvador for 1 week to really get to know this city well.

Interests

I love meeting new interesting, charming, open minded people, and learn from them about their experiences and their background, their countries and their way of life. I am in love with Latino culture, and I learned to speak Spanish, currently mastering my Portuguese. I am dancing Salsa, and want to learn Cumbia and Bachata. I enjoy watching movies with friends and listening to music. I admire to humble, open minded experienced, cultured people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to watch comedies. Lately my I-pod is playing Pop music and jumpy beats. Starting to love Sertanejo and Axé is always fun to listen to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've really enjoyed my study abroad trips, which have been to a number of countries in Latin America and the Middle East.  I don't think there is anything I like more than learning languages, and it has opened up new doors for me over and over again.  I can't imagine my life without having met all the people that I've met learning Spanish and Arabic.  Currently, I'm focused on Brazilian Portuguese, and similarly it feels like my world and opportunities multiplied a thousand percent, especially loving the people, the music and the dance!
