ABOUT ME

I'm interested in all kinds of things, but my main interest is music.
At the moment I work as a sound engineer and CEO in my own company that I started 3 years ago and as a freelance DJ and a event-organiser. I am a resident-DJ at a regular party called Indie-Disco. I have also been working as a tour guide in Tallinn and in a record store in the past.

I have played quitar in several bands (Maikameikers (the most famous dub-band in Estonia, basically only one too :)and Tallinn Guitar Circle (check: http://www.myspace.com/tallinnguitarcircle ). I am also interested in visual arts (contemporary art) and I have written some articles in Estonian and Finnish newspapers and webzines about art and music. I graduated from The Estonian Art Academy where my main subject was Art History.
I like traveling, sun, football and new experiences that teach me something :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed in Berlin about 10 days and met some Couchsurfing members in Barcelona and in my hometown Tallinn. It has been a great experience!

Music, Movies, and Books

There are so many of them. But ok, I'll try to write something. Movies I like: Pi (and also other Darren Aronofsky movies), The Man Without a Past (A.Kaurismäki), all Jim Jarmusch and Andrei Tarkovsky films I've seen, Vanilla Sky, Sügisball etc. for example.
Music: I listen to all kinds of music from world and folk to ambient and electronic. In general I think it is possible to make awesome music in every style, but my favourite non-Estonian bands are among others: Radiohead, Tame Impala, The XX, Sigur Rós, Stone Roses, CSS, Daft Punk, M83, Nite Jewel, LCD Soundsystem, Electrelane, Kavinsky, Bill Laswell, Sun Araw, Manu Chao, Deftones, RATM, Joy Division, Sonic Youth, Massive Attack etc, etc. Books: my favourite non-Estonian book is George Orwell's "1984".
