About Me

Social, friendly, creative; adventurous citizen of the world.

Dutch/South African mix; ex-Londoner. I've lived in various countries and backpacked Southeast Asia. Currently living in Vancouver, CA.

Ask any questions you have and feel free to chat!

All Couchsurfing Pics are of my old homes just so you can get a sense of me :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Quit my job after being in London for 6 years - moved to Thailand- quit that job and then backpacked SE Asia.

I was back in South Africa for 6 months where I acted in a local TV soap opera and then lived in Florida for 5 months on the Mexican Gulf.

I'm on a year working holiday in Vancouver and then doing a trip down the West Coast to Phoenix, AZ. Hoping to surf some couches along the way :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to mention (ex-film student after all) but a few favorites include:
*Requiem For A Dream
*Life Is Beautiful (La vita è bella)
*The Haunting (I'm a sucker for beautiful set design and haunted house stories)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydived! (But eating Basil & Lime ice cream comes as a close 2nd :p )

But I guess me suddenly deciding to sell all my stuff in London - buying a one way ticket and moving to Thailand was also a pretty cool impromptu step (if not all that original these days) :p

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm great at helping people who don't speak English as a first language & I'm quite the creative.

I love baking (I have a sweet tooth...) - so can help you bake treats.

I've got a great eye for interiors and love a good up-cycling or DIY project!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories about coming from wild and dangerous Africa :p I'm happy to help you shuffle your couch or bed around to make your house seem like new and I love baking so if you got goods lets bake a cake!

I'm very tidy and respectful; always happy to help do the dishes. I'm a very considerate houseguest :)

I don't mind you having pets.
