Hello! I'm from Australia and I'm a university student studying Visual Art, French and Geography. After a trip around Europe for five months during my gap year I've found a real passion for travelling, especially solo travelling. I especially love the little moments when travelling that aren't mentioned in guidebooks, like making friends with a cat on the side of the road, or visiting a supermarket in a new foreign country. My favourite way to discover a new place is by walking, getting lost in small side-streets or along semi-wild hiking tracks. I appreciate the beauty of buildings old and new that tell the story of people who live there, unpretentious apartment buildings as much as grand royal palaces. Swimming in the ocean and walking through forests makes me happy. I love taking pictures of places I visit using my dad's 35mm camera. Travelling has taught me to be more spontaneous and open myself to the lessons the world has to teach me.

Couchsurfing is such an amazing way to get to know people and gain a local insight into the culture of the cities and countries I'm visiting. I think anyone who's on here shares my desire to meet new people, have interesting conversations and share unique experiences. During my Europe trip I met so many amazing people who were kind and welcoming enough to welcome me into their home and share their lives with me, and they made my trip so much more special. I can't wait to meet more amazing CouchSurfing hosts, and I plan to return the favour to the universe by becoming a host myself when I have my own place.
