ABOUT ME

I am 8 months into what I'm hoping will be a mammoth trip around the world. It started in South Africa and has continued through SE Asia. My next stop is Australia, where I need to try to earn some more cash to further my travels - I haven't decided the next place yet, but would like to go to NZ, South America, Canada, possibly India, more of Africa...so I have a few options already and am open to more! I am easygoing, friendly, like meeting new people, visiting new places, and increasing my general knowledge of the world. I love food and one of my favourite things about travelling is trying different cuisines :)

PHILOSOPHY

'Life is about the journey, not just the destination'

I am trying more and more to live my life according to this philosophy, encouraging myself to enjoy the moment, and not to spend all my time thinking about what's going to happen next, missing out on the here and now.

I am new to this, hoping to get 'insider knowledge' in the places I visit. I will be very grateful to anyone kind enough to host me and hope to return the favour when I finally settle in one place!

Musica, film e libri

I enjoy most types of music...indie, rock, reggae, pop, acoustic, RnB, dance...depends on my mood and where I am. I like to read autobiographies, biographies, fantasy, murder mysteries, thrillers, travel books. Films - romantic comedies, action movies, psychological thrillers, sci-fi (sometimes)

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Volunteering on a game reserve with lions, tigers, rhinos, elephants, giraffes, zebra, buffalo; cage diving with great white sharks; spotting southern right whales of the coast of SA; trekking in the mountains of Sapa, watching amazing sunsets from the beaches of Thailand...it's hard to just pick one!

I am hoping to learn another language along the way during my travels, as I have been very ashamed to admit that I only speak English, upon meeting so many multilingual people. I'm not an expert on travelling but am more than happy to share my experiences with people who are thinking of going to the countries I've been to and want to hear about them. Not many people have heard of Wales outside of the UK, and if they have, they think its part of England...I can teach them that its not!
