About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To encourage widespread dancing and singing, thus making the world a happier place.

ABOUT ME

My husband and I live in a little 2 bedroom apartment in the Central District, located, you guessed it, in the center of Seattle. We moved out here from the East Coast for UW's outstanding (yet underfunded) graduate program in Asian languages and literature. We are world travelers, so we figured couchsurfing would be a great way to get a bed once in a while. We often go to China and France, since we both have family members that live there. As a result, we speak Mandarin and French! Plus Thai and am attempting to learn Vietnamese but mostly just speak English in bad Vietnamese accents. Our favorite most recent international trip was to Laos, where we ate duck blood salad in the jungle and somehow escaped contracting avian flu. Check out my blog at http://thatsamasian.blogspot.com

Asian cooking, Bollywood, hip hop, tea, knitting and crocheting, cats (we have 1), kung fu, karaoke, dim sum, whiffle ball, double dutch, dancing (!!!), beach-going, hot dogs, the environment, bike riding.
