ABOUT ME

Sib loves to travel and spend time in the bush. He does a lot of camping
He is not a fanatic biker but does love the yellow Vespa with which he traveled from the South point of Africa to the North point of Europe in 2008.
He is a bit of a loner but likes good company preferably one or two persons at a time.
He is always game to meet and travel with new people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting people, and CS offers me that opportunity.

So far I have only hosted but soon I really want to meet you at/in your homes :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted (5 times) only lovely people from young to mature but nobody old yet.
Do you get OLD people Couch Surfing?

I am looking forward to July when I may be a CS guest for the first time in either Prague, Salzburg or Siena while Margi and I visit Europe. Bet you will agree that 70 and 75 years are not old:) Maybe we are lucky in all three cities.
What a wonderful opportunity to meet new people!
Even though I want to stay in certain cities for a few days I do not expect any CS host to have us stay the full period. All short stay experiences will be appreciated.

兴趣

Travel, going to scenic places, meeting people at their home.
Best part of my travel through Africa and Europe was staying with locals and seeing how they live and how they think.

Going through Africa on a Vespa scooter.
Seeing the Blue Nile pass in Ethiopia
Sleeping in a very poor man's house in Kenia (he was rich in lifes experience an friendlyness)
Seeing the Pyramids on my scooter for the first time when coming in from the western desert.
Visited Cape North on my scooter

I have a small cottage with a second bedroom and bathroom. Can accommodate 2 persons for 1 to 3 nights.
Have car, will take you around.
You can also come to my camp in the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve. No fenses but reasonably safe when you are sensible.
