About Me

Hi! I’m Lahari. I recently moved back to India from Singapore and wear many hats as a product designer, digital marketer, and creative thinker. Originally from Chennai. I’m a curious soul who thrives on learning, exploring, and connecting with people from different walks of life. Travel is my passion, and I believe every journey brings a new story to tell.

I’m drawn to the simple joys of life—chasing sunsets, basking under the moonlight, and sharing meaningful conversations. I love to dance (urban kiz and bachata are my favorites!), cook for friends, make art, and write poetry. Creativity is at the heart of everything I do, whether it’s designing, writing, or whipping up a delicious meal.

I’m also deeply spiritual and grounded in my values: kindness, inclusivity, and living in harmony with nature. I’m the kind of person who values authenticity and strives to make every connection meaningful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am always up for an adventure, and I believe the best way to explore a place is through its people. Staying with locals offers an authentic experience that no hotel or guidebook can match. I love making meaningful connections, sharing stories, and exchanging cultures.

I’m here to learn, teach, and share—a little food, some laughter, and lots of good vibes!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: My taste is eclectic and mood-driven—ranging from EDM and hip-hop to Latin music and Carnatic classics. 🎸🎶

Books: My all-time favorite is Wuthering Heights, but I also love Harry Potter, The Kite Runner, and anything that stirs the soul. I enjoy writing poetry too! 📚

Movies: I enjoy a mix of thought-provoking dramas and feel-good classics, depending on the vibe. 🍿🎬

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 18, I donated a part of my liver to my late uncle—it was a life-changing moment that taught me courage, resilience, and the power of love.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach you how to make simple, tasty Indian food, basic phrases in Tamil, Hindi, or Bengali, or even dance basics of kizomba, urban kiz, or bachata.

Learn: I love learning about new cultures, local traditions, and unique perspectives. Teach me your favorite recipe, share your city’s hidden gems, or tell me what inspires you.

Share: Good food, laughter, and meaningful conversations are the things I love to share the most.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love sharing experiences and learning from others, and I always try to make my stay memorable for both my host and myself.

Here’s what I can offer:

Language Exchange: I can teach you phrases or basic words in Tamil, Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam, or Telugu, making it a fun cultural experience.

Dance Lessons: If you’re a fan of music and movement, I’d love to teach you some basics of urban kiz, kizomba, or bachata. It’s a great way to unwind!
