About Me

Hey there!

I am Sidar, born in Bulgaria of Kurdish origins, studying in Berlin and moving around the world whenever an opportunity occurs. I love seeing, feeling and exploring places, cultures and nature, analysing the similarities and differences, celebrating them all and building my own understandings of fundamental issues.

I believe I am respectful, open-minded and not pretentious. I am eager to meet new and interesting people and would be more than happy to do that through travelling!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There is no better way to experience a place than doing it around and with the locals. However, the locals are not always so fond of us, the newcomers and this is where Couchsurfing comes, binding the wanderers with other such, letting us share stories, adventures, homes and hearts. I want to be part of this amazing platform and meet more like-minded people, to become a member of this thriving society.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Thinking back there should be more than just one amazing thing but the latest vivid one is my whole stay in India. 6 months of endless adventures and extraordinary happenings, dancing on trains, performing strange rituals and traveling across thousands of kilometres, tens of cities and states, from tropical beaches to the breathtaking Himalaya.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Sharing has always been part of my life. It is a primary value of the Kurdish culture and very much appreciated in the Bulgarian one as well. Having a sister and a gigantic family has also helped me be comfortable with sharing almost everything I have. I am always happy to give whatever I have in excess and is needed by the others around me - food, amenities, stories and my time&attention.
