Overview
About Me
I am the mother of three lovely daughters, who are now grown up and mostly moved out. Signe, born 2008, will move back in in June, so from then on I will still be able to host, but only in a small single guest room, possibly with an extra mattress if needed.
I don’t smoke, and I try to live a healthy life.
I am a positive and outgoing person who enjoys literature, hiking in nature, travelling, classical singing, fitness, new experiences and meeting new people. I am interested in law, politics, and learning about other people’s lifestyles and cultures. I enjoy conversations with people from different generations and backgrounds, and I value openness, kindness and cultural exchange.
I am currently busy finishing my master’s degree in law, so for now I can usually be social mainly over meals. But whenever I have a break, I will be happy to help you find activities and places to visit in the area, and sometimes also show you around.
A few house rules:
For me, Couchsurfing is about cultural exchange, good company and sharing everyday life in a respectful way. It is not a dating context, so please contact me only if that suits what you are looking for.
Non-smokers only. This is an old house, and smoke smell easily settles in the walls and furniture, so I can only host guests who do not smoke during their stay.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I used to hitchhike when I was younger, and it gave me many wonderful travel experiences, free rides and exciting meetings with new people.
At the moment I am very busy with my studies, so travelling is not often an option. For me, Couchsurfing is therefore a way to let the world into my home and to meet people from other cultures.
I enjoy cultural exchange, good conversations and the simple hospitality of everyday life. I am also interested in home exchange during holidays, and I like the idea of people helping each other by taking care of homes, pets and practical things.
If you are travelling in Southern Norway and would like a simple and respectful local stay, you may be welcome here for a few days if the timing fits. While I finish my studies, I may not always have much time for socialising, but I am happy to offer a bed and a warm welcome when I can.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love opera and jazz. Currently I don't read so much else but Law books. I like historical dramas, like Downtown Abbey and Outlander.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cracked the code in Harry Potter in 2005, started a big network for victims of domestic violence, changed family law in two countries, survived a lot of exciting travel experiences and gave birth to the best children in the world. Right now I am about to finish my second master degree.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Law, Danish, English, German, and share cultural events with you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories and good conversations, or maybe a listening ear :-) I enjoy meeting people from different countries, backgrounds and cultures. It is always interesting to discover new ways of thinking, and hopefully we both leave with a broader view of the world.
As a small thank you for your hospitality, I would be happy to cook dinner one evening, buy breakfast, or invite you out for a coffee or a meal.
During the day I usually like to go out sightseeing and explore the area, so time together will mainly be in the mornings or evenings. Since we do not know each other yet, I also want to be respectful of your time and space. But if you feel like joining me, I would be happy to explore your area together. :-)
I am also happy to help a little in everyday life while staying with you — for example with dishes, tidying up, cooking, light cleaning, looking after animals, or other small practical tasks.
