Hi, my name is Sierra and I am a 22 year old from Omaha, Nebraska, USA. I am the youngest of three siblings with two older brothers. In undergrad, I studied Biochemistry and Microbiology and am currently in pursuit of an MD/PhD dual degree. One day, I plan to work in academic medicine as a physician scientist.

I am very outgoing and love exploring new sites and cultures - meeting people and trying local cuisine have been the highlights of every trip I have ever taken. My passion for traveling began when I was younger - my parents have always been very actively invested in making sure my brothers and I were comfortable and familiar with the world around us so we were very fortunate in our travel history. Besides small trips, I lived in Santander, Spain as an exchange student for a year when I was 16 and spent three months in Freiburg, Germany doing a research internship during Summer 2016. This coming fall (starting in August) I will begin a 1-year research position in Freiburg.

Other than traveling, I enjoy listening to music, hanging out with friends, and dancing. I look forward to meeting you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because starting on May 24th, I will be backpacking around Asia with my childhood friend Mackenzie. My fondest memories of traveling have been from meeting people (both locals and from around the world) and spending time with them. So, I thought that this would be a very fun way to travel and make new friends!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am an expert at making traditional American foods - chocolate chip cookies are my specialty :) I would love to cook an American meal for you.

Other than that, I love talking and enjoying the companies of others and would be happy to share my time and trip with you.
