I have been living and studying in Groningen for about 5 years to study there and I still enjoy the city very much! I study physics, which I greatly enjoy, but it's not all I do. I enjoy playing drums and singing very much as well. I recently picked up climbing. I am aiming to eventually climb in the mountains, but for now I am practicing the art in a climbing gym.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I think it's a great way to travel to all kinds of places and meet interesting people along the way. Tourism is fun, but I would like to meet people who actually live in the places that I visit to really learn about them.

Interests

I have been playing the drums ever since I was 15 or so and it's still a great passion for me, even though I don't do it all that often anymore. Eventually I want to live in a house where I can stall and play my acoustic drum kit to heart's content, but that belongs to the far future. For now, I am trying my hand at singing and climbing. I am fascinated by singing, as it is a way of expanding your means of expression beyond language alone.

My favourite artists include Porcupine Tree, Karnivool, Alter Bridge and God is an Astronaut. Furthermore, I occasionally listen to synthwave, ambient and soundtracks (love that Blade Runner soundtrack). My guilty pleasure is Gotye.
