I'm serially obsessed: I like having ideas and things to consider intensely for a couple of months before the next fascinating issue lures me away. I'm generally up for new experiences, places and activities, especially if they're unfamiliar -- though I like to approach things intellectually first. I'm told I'm a good listener.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'll be moving to Stockholm in a couple of months. Once there, I'll gladly share my experience of this wonderful city with other eager CouchSurfers

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Sleeping on couches: oh yes; having people stay overnight on my couch: sure. Via CS -- no, not yet. But I'm looking to change that!

My tastes are eclectic -- I make a point of taking in a variety of international art forms. Books: golden age Science Fiction, epic fantasy and Terry Pratchett, Jane Austen, George Eliot, the Brontës, Amélie Nothomb, Jorge Luis Borges. Non-fiction books: generally about linguistics, history, archeology, or popular science. Music: I like sweet Canadian indie rock (Broken Social Scene, Stars), Björk and black metal (Wolves in the throne room) and lots of things inbetween. Movies: "Lost in Translation", "Requiem for a dream", "Underworld", "Deadgirl", "Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain", "Manon des sources", "Der Krieger und die Kaiserin", "Elsker dig for evigt / Open hearts", "Flickan", "Tomten är far till alla barnen", "Oldboy", "Hero".
