Hi,

my name is Sigrid (hard to pronounce, I know). I'm 28 and I recently discovered that I love traveling. So after lots and lots of thinking, I quit my Job as an onlineshopmanager to see the world *juhuuuu*.

Back in Graz (which is my favourit City in the world by the way), my cute appartment is watched over by my boyfriend (who is the best, by the way), with whom I'll have to skype a lot during my travels.

I'm an outgoing and optimistic Person, and to be honest a bit of a geek when it comes to science fiction and fantasy genre (you want to see me geeking out? Just mention Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Star Trek, etc).

Another big hobby of mine is musik. I sang in a choir for years (I mostly sang in alto) and recently I discovered my love for the Ukulele. It's cute, it's easy to transport and if you want to, I could teach you how to play "somwhere over the rainbow" :-)

So I guess that's me :-)

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

When I started talking to People about the traveling I'm going to do, I got lots of different reactions concerning Couch Surfing.
Ranging from my mum insisting that it is way too dangerous for a girl to do so alone, to a friend of a friend telling me about the amazing and life changing experiences she had, while Couch Surfing in Australia.

In the end I really wanted to try it. It just sounds like the perfect way to learn about a place and see how the people live there.
I hope to make a lot of friends, and gain a new perspective on the way People live around the world.

Lets start with Books:
I love, Love, LOVE Harry Potter (I basically grew up with it)
Also I really like books by Neil Gaiman, especially Good Omens (he actually wrote that together with Terry Pratchet).
Right now I'm reading The Lunar Cronicles (Young-adult-science-fiction-novels are Kind of a guilty pleasure of mine).

Movies:
I pretty much watch everything except Horror and Adam Sandler movies. I just love the experience of going to the Cinema.

Music:
At home I listen mostly to a mix of alternative and popular Music. My boyfriend is into electronic Music, so I listen to that a lot as well (if I want to or not).
I also enjoy classical Music and chior Music (since I sang in one for years).
