Hallo, my name is Sigurd, and I am a travel-loving guy from Denmark. Right now (anno 2026), I am using my gap year to explore the nature and culture of countries new to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing in the hope that I can get af deeper understanding of nature and the local culture of the places I visit. And of course, it is no secret that it would be nice if I could stay at 5-star hotels all the time, but I am young and I do not have the financial resources for that.

Interests

I have a formal education within the natural sciences. I play the saxophone and the piano, and I have to a boarding school for musical education. This summer (2025) I worked in Greenland as a tourist guide.

One of my teachers i primary schools once told me, that I was a nerd in everything. Meaning that I have an interest i learning and examening everything which crosses my path. And I will happy share whatever stories and experiences i carry myself.
