About Me
I am a young human, interested in the world. Currently on a walking/hitchhiking/interrailing trip through Europe
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Ever since I first heard of couchsurfing I've liked the idea. A friend from my folk high school put his bed on Couchsurfing, and it was a pleasure to talk to all the interesting people from all over the world that used it. Couchsurfing as an alternative to expensive hotels that lets you meet actual people from all over the world, both as a guest and a host: a thing to take part in. Let's have more things like that!

Music, Movies, and Books
A good friend recently asked me about the first three movies that popped into my consciousness when asked this question, off the top of my head. As it turned out, the movies closest to the surface were: Koyaanisqatsi, Cloud Atlas and Ghostbusters. I'm not sure if this says more about my taste in movies, or the workings of my subconscious mind. Into the Wild and Enter the Void are movies that have mattered much to me also.
I have difficulty pinning down my taste in music. Anything that transports me goes. From Boards of Canada to Erik Satie to Tame Impala to Kings of Convenience to Django Reinhardt to Shpongle. I have a very special and complicated relationship to Chopins Nocturnes.
I read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance a few years ago and it changed how I think about the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
Languages are cool! Exchanging the power of a different system of communication will only make both of our experiences of life richer. That is to say; I'd love to talk to you in a language that I know and you don't, or that you know and I don't, or that neither of us knows (a fun one). Check out what languages I know and am learning, and we'll make something fun out of it.
My skills are mainly theoretical, I'd love to share knowledge though! I know some (basic) chemistry, philosophy, and math. I know a little bit about a lot of things, I'm kind of a jack-of-all-trades. Talk to me, and we will probably both learn something. I also know some rudimentary music theory, and I play a little piano and guitar. By no means an expert, but I'd love to jam a bit.
I want to learn more practical things too! Arts and crafts, making things, cooking your local dishes, to intertwine our cultures a bit more :) Globalization, travel and cultural exchange leads to so many exciting new possibilites, so let's be part of that.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Interesting conversation about whatever parts of our lives overlap (or don't!). I'm happy to help around the house a bit while I'm there :) I also make delicious brownies, if you're into that. And of course, once I have one to share again, you will be safe in the knowledge that there's a couch with your name on it in Norway (which is pretty great, considering how this place is one of the most expensive countries in the world!)
