Hello

My name is Sigurður Unnar and I am from Iceland. I joined couchsurfers in 2017. I have hosted and been hosted once. I am an artist. I love meeting new people and share positive experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I moved back to Iceland in 2015 from Berlin after living there for five years. I didn't travel abroad until 2017. Then I went to Amsterdam. I had forgotten the freedom and the anonymity of big cities and how much I like it. Then I did my first couch surf. After that I hosted for a few times. Since then I moved places. Had more children. I havent been active on CS for few years. Now I am travelling with my painting class to Brussel and Haag in 2025. I would love to meet locals from the city and make friends.

Literature: crime and punishment really shaped me as a reader when I first came accross it 20 years ago :)
