About Me

First things first: if you are a racist (of course there are racist people on Couchsurfing, duh), sexist, homophobic or islamophobic person, don't write me. Also if you are a white person who doesn't believe there is such a thing as white privilege or is not willing to learn more about this, then we shouldn't get to know each other.
I also feel VERY strongly about Palestine. If you are a Zionist and support an Apartheid state, definitely don't contact me.

When I travel I like to get to know the place I visit really good, so I try to do as many things as possible! I was born in NRW and grew up there as well. After my Abitur I moved to Regensburg, which is still my favorite city of Germany. After six years of completing my Bachelors Degree in Educational Science and my teaching degree I moved to Würzburg where I currently live. Here I'm enrolled in my Masters Degree and I also teach german in the 'Volkshochschule'. This means that I meet people of different backgrounds from all over the world in my classroom and I am very happy about that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is the best way to get to know locals and have a friend and a helping hand right away :) I don't see it as a free accommodation (which is a bonus) but a platform to make new friends and see a country through the eyes of the locals. I had wonderful experiences on CS and always enjoy using it again.

What I Can Share with Hosts

laughter, stories, ears to listen :D
I didn't have the opportunity to host as much before, but now that I have a bigger apartment it is possible. So if you are interested in staying with me I would really appreciate you to write more than just the amount of nights you want to stay. I write personalized messages when I am looking for a couch and I think that this is the right thing to do because you are staying at a strangers place, who was kind enough to host you. I see it as a sign of appreciation.
