ABOUT ME

I can do introvert, I can do extrovert... back in the summer of 197? my mother met my father. She actually preferred a guy called Ian but he didn't want kids. My father was actually sharing a girlfriend with his brother (unbeknown to my father at the time). So when my mother met my father, it was obviously destiny, love at first sight, and they were perfect for eachother. I came along 9 months later and within five years another two boys. It was a crazy time.

PHILOSOPHY

Here's the teaching philosophy from my CV:

'My first school, in London, broke all records for staff turn over as we went through OFSTED, œspecial measures and HMI inspection. I had five Heads of department in three years. The last person to replace my last HoD asked me if I was the Head of Geography, to which I replied no, I thought you were.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Seen Uluru in the sunset (at the same time as around a 1,000 other people). I've stood on one leg, on a rock in Kings Canyon (all in Australia).

I survived a 12 hour train journey through Romania in a train carriage designed for 8 people, that had 10 people, including children and animals. (Last year)

I nearly got fired for writing an unoffical school newspaper that made fun of the teachers (they actually blamed someone else, until I 'came out with my hands up').

I have a 2nd Dan in karate and teach at my school. If ever I think I'm a tough guy I think of my 4th Dan instructor who IS tough.

I've done yoga for a few years and pilates for one year.
