About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be creative, imaginative & wacky, if need be. Otherwise, to be dull, maudlin & austere, only if need be, of course.

ABOUT ME

23 year old bi-pedal carbon based life-form, omnivorous and in possession of highly developed mammalian brain capable of complex logic, extra-instinctual reasoning and intricate social relationships...a monkey. Otherwise, born in England, educated and raised in California and Colorado and once again living and studying in the mother-land. Currently in the middle of my Masters at Bath Spa University. Love being outside, love being inside, love being in a group, love being on my own, its all good to me.

PHILOSOPHY

Hierarchy is not an essential principle of order; order is not an essential principle of value; value is not an essential principle of Being!!

A distrust of wit is the beginning of tyranny.

Interconnectedness, Deep Ecology, Neo-Marxism, Monkey-wrenching.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teaching in Nepal was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Only closely behind kayaking the Colorado.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have travelled extensively in Asia and actually lived & worked in Nepal for six months. Anything you'd like to know about Nepal, including contacts, volunteer opportunities, itinerary etc, I am happy to help. I also did similar traveling in Central America and specifically Guatemala.

My main areas of expertise outside of traveling are in English (literature and writing). I wrote my Bachelor's thesis on the Beats and am currently writing my Masters on Edward Abbey. These include such areas as subversive literature, environmental writing, Kerouac, Ginsberg & Burroughs and; Sociology - specifically Marxism, capitalism & the Cold war.

I would like to know what kind of opportunities exist for teaching English in countries like Australia and New Zealand.
