Hi!

I am a 26-year-old teacher from Norway.

I travel as often as I can, mostly outside of Europe (I want to see as much of the world as I possibly can). I have always loved learning new languages. I've studied English for 17 years, German for 5 and Spanish for 2 - hoping to learn more!

I am a generally happy, energetic person who likes meeting new people, travelling and learning about different countries and cultures.
I spent a semester in the US in 2016, which was a great experience - which is why I came back in the fall of 2017 to explore more of the country :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always loved travelling and meeting new people. I hope to meet some nice people here :)

I've had couch surfers in my old apartment. My roommate was the host, but I got to spend time with some really nice people from all over the world. My roommate at the time was also the one who introduced me to CS, and after I saw how nice people were, I had to try it out for myself :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled to Central America for a month with a friend of mine the summer of 2013. We went backpacking to Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. It was incredible! I got to meet lots of nice people, practice my Spanish and learn more about the countries. Best summer of my life :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I wanna know as much as I can about different countries, cultures and languages.
I am very passionate about language learning, especially the grammar part of it. But don't worry: I won't bore you with this unless you ask me to :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to tell you about Norway, and how we don't have polar bears for pets (sorry...). I'm very easy to talk to, so just ask me anything about me, Norway etc. There are no stupid questions. Except the polar bear one...

If you come to Bergen, I'll be more than happy to show you some sights, take you out and teach you about Norwegian history/language. I can also show you how to make some Norwegian dishes :)
