Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been a generous host over the years to out-of-town guests, whether relatives, colleagues, friends, and friends of friends. I've also enjoyed the experience of "crashing" at others' places. I've used Airbnb and had positive experiences. I heard of couchsurfing from a friend and her positive experiences encouraged me to join the couchsurfing community.
