About Me
Hi,
I'm a 20-something programmer living and working in Munich.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Looking to find a place to stay if I'm ever visiting another country.
Plus, this seems like a pretty neat alternative to hostels, so I figure I should experience couchsurfing at least once in my life.
Interests
1. History; if I hadn't gone to Denmark, I'd have studied history (or philosophy) at uni in Estonia. Next to STEM subjects, I regard it as one of the most important things any person can learn.
2. Programming (currently: Python, JavaScript, C#, C++, PHP); being someone who writes web applications for a living and programs a lot in their off-time, it's no surprise I find it to be one of the most fascinating (and in these days, practical) skills to develop.
3. Art; this is pretty much intertwined with a love for history, since art history conveys a large part of human cultural development. I also draw.
4. Robotics and artificial intelligence; I build/tinker with really simple robots (think obstacle avoidance) in my off-time, and do try to keep up with A.I research.
5. Space & space exploration; if I was given the chance, I'd go spend the rest of my life on the ISS. Although it would be a short life, given the amount of radiation I'd be exposed to over time - and probably wouldn't be able to return to Earth after long periods, not without a lot of physiotherapy anyway. But, still. Space.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Built a robot that, using an ultrasonic sensor, gets the distance between the robot and the object according to which it issues an order to compare distances on its left/right and decides which way to go.
