About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be expert in the field of nursing & research while enjoying life the best as I can whenever my schedule permits me to do so...

ABOUT ME

My best friends would say: I'm intimidating at first glance, but when people come to know me, they'll find out soon enough how friendly & accommodating I am in real life. Generous and kind, with a pure heart they say. Crybaby...coz I easily cried even for simple things that hurts or disappoints me.

I love travelling & being outdoor sometimes. Most of my spare time & when I can I go travel. I love nature, esp. water...just give me the serene feeling. I'm very sociable (sometimes If I really know the person well) and I love being with my friends. And I also tend to meet new people because of them coz I rarely go out due to my toxic/hectic schedule everyday. I'm studying non-stop whenever I have free time to do it..pursuing my career is one of my greatest goal in my life... & to be expert in my field.

PHILOSOPHY

Always aiming high and living modestly...

Lend a hand...help the needy...preserve life...

And.....uphold the law..protect & defend the innocent...deliver fair & just service to people in need of justice...be fair...and be smart all the time...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A friend introduce me to help some people who plans to visit my home country...by hosting them...or show them around as well as accompanying them to visit different interesting sites/parts of my city...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted 2 people from Indonesia & England for the first time just last September 2012. Had a great & wonderful experiences with them...and also able to experience some things I haven't had the courage to do so before. I could say...I have grown up? Mentally? And a little liberal minded now...just a little though... :)

Interests

I love taking care of people. I'm a registered nurse by profession and had my diploma in Masters degree just last April 2012. No matter how toxic and tiring my job is, I still smile & feels elated after a strenuous activities with my daily schedule. I also love giving information and do health teaching to my patients for their treatment procedures, rehab do's and dont's, and other pertinent information on patient care management.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I could say one of the amazing thing that I've seen or done is when I assisted a surgery of a baby with a hydrocephalus. I was a scrub nurse, and I've seen how strongly the 10month old baby fight for her life and survive the Ventriculo-Peritoneal Shunt surgery, knowing the baby has also other illness at that moment of her life. I was teary eyed while the doctor drill a hole in her head, but I kept my composure as much as I could coz we are not supposed to show our emotions during the process. It has been 5years, but it still lingers on my mind. And seeing the baby smiling when she wakes after a couple of hours, my heart burst with joy! What a strong soul...

Second moment that made me realize how fragile life was.... it was when I took care of a healthy old matron with psych disorder for 2weeks. She died of cardiac arrest! She fills my morning with her amazing smile & telling me how pretty I am, and teasing me that shed love it most if I date his son. I just smiled back at her saying even if I want to I'm too busy to go on a date...and that she needs to take her pills for this hour. Shel smile back and say what a pity! Those moments we had made me cry over & over while I'm trying to do CPR for almost 30minutes praying so hard & telling her to fight for her life. She was the first patient who died in my shift and it leaves me a hole in my heart. She had been a mom to me even for just a short period of time. It was then during that moment, I said to myself, despite my busy schedule, I will find time to be with my family, friends, and date...in short...be happy and enjoy life!

Teach, Learn, Share

People who needs my expertise in my field of study...both medical & Law...

People who wants to learn language that I know and I can teach...

Dream to educate people/children who can't afford to go to school...it isn't the reason to be illiterate...it is a matter of willpower and eagerness to learn that weighs more...and that is also my drive to impart the knowledge & skills I learned from the University as well as from my work...and other practical experiences both in medical & law...
