Hello I live in the Dumfries and Galloway with my family and have been fortunate throughout my life to enjoy my work and to travel throughout the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have used Couch surfing and plan to use again while travelling. Instead of paying air bnb commissions or hotels which are often clinical, I would like to stay with like mind persons and contribute or take you out for a meal as a thank you.

We have tried couch surfing with mixed results, we have met and stay with two very good families and now very good friends and have made friends with other persons, we have been let down at the very last minute so always have a backup.

I have been very lucky to be able to travel overland in various forms with my children and to allow them to meet, and understand new cultures, learn new languages and gain the vast knowledge they have already achieved.
