Overview
About Me
Hi! Nice to meet you!
I'm Silvia, a 28-year-old from Italy with a genuine passion for traveling and creating human connections with people from all over the world.
I think that getting to know people from different backgrounds and discovering new places is one of the best ways to grow humanly and to better experience the world we live in. For me, every journey is an exchange: you learn something new from others while also leaving a small part of yourself behind. Travelling is above all is human exchange rather than visiting places!
A bit about me: I studied Translation and Cultural Mediation, where I learned English, German and French as well as gained a deeper understanding of different cultures and perspectives.
In everyday life, I work in Human Resources and recruitment for sales and technical roles across Europe. But one of my biggest passions is literary translaton, which I sometimes have the opportunity to pursue.
Looking forward to meeting you somewhere in the world!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing because I'd like to meet and stay with local people while travelling, much more than simply visiting the places and behaving like a standard, boring tourist who only looks for attractions. If I can be shown around by locals and discover the secret corners of a place through them, I would be grateful.

Travelling is my biggest interest in life. Or rather, it's not just an interest, I see it as the utmost expression of life itself. Life is a travel, so why not live it in the most varied way possible, making the most of the many people and places in this world?

Teach, Learn, Share
By meeting people on Couchsurfing and travellers in general, I hope to learn especially about their stories, cultures and backgrounds, as I believe these are the richest things everyone carries within themselves and the ones that can enrich others. I would love to grow as a person in this way and create true connections.
In return, I would be happy to share mine.
