About Me

Hi, I'm Silvia. I'm an Italian student, I'm new on Couch Surfing. I love travelling, I've been travelling mostly in Europe, with friends, family, sometimes alone. I'm interested in discovering new people and places. I think I got a looot to learn about everything and I'm here for that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because I love travelling - not only visiting museums and monuments, but mostly meeting new people, learning the culture of a country and living authentic local experiences.

I want to listen to your stories, we can share knowledge, experiences, culture, I'm interested in you!

Music, Movies, and Books

Even though I cannot choose just a movie, a book or a song, I can say for sure that I could not live without movies, books or mostly songs. I love singing even though I'm not a good singer and sometimes I think that I would love to meet the character of the book I'm reading, because I feel that we could be friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Something which to you could seem normal, but not to me: two years ago I spent my first night in an hostel. I mean, my mother is really apprehensive, I'm not that corageous, before trying the first time I was scared. However, I tried and I survived, I had fun and it was a beautiful experience. So, I started to change my mind about travelling and I begin to do things I have never expected.
For example, last year I started to hike, I went trekking in the Dolomites, was it easy? Not at all, but, another time, I overcame fears and prejudices and I discovered something I love now. After that, I started to choose more difficult destinations and I spent my first night in a bivouac -it was amazing.
This year, I bought my first tent, my fist backpack: I went to Croatia and I slept my first night under the stars. I found out that even if you are not a scout, or you are not an expert of camping and hiking, you can try and you can learn.
Everybody has a first day - I had many first days in the last year, because I came out of my confort zone, out of my habits and I'm glad I started that night in that hostel in Wien.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook Italian food, risotto, pizza, pasta and I can also help you to practice the language I know.
I'm learning how to dance salsa, so we can also try that.

I love talking - I can offer conversation.
