Overview
About Me
Hola! I am originally from the Dominican Republic but have been living in Chicago, USA for the past ten years. I studied child psychology and practiced in Chicago until 2018. My husband and I left Chicago in November to travel for a year, hoping to meet new people, build community and discover new passions and talents.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a great opportunity to meet down to earth, like-minded people. It's also a great platform to immerse yourself into different cultures.
Interests
I love to cook, and traveling has left me wanting to cook and bake even more! It has been hard to find places with kitchens...and ovens. Oh how I miss an oven.
I also love nature: camping, hiking, just being outside.
Photography is one of my favorite hobbies - I try to learn as much as I can every day. They say practice makes perfect and although I don't care about being perfect, I do want to improve.
Dancing is my true passion. Latin dancing - salsa, merengue and bachata.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love latin music: salsa, merengue, bachata, reggeton.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked the John Muir Trail in 2018 - a 220 mile hiking trail in California.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Spanish, how to dance, the few things I know about photography.
I want to learn as much as I can about anything and everything. Life is about becoming and how do you become? Learning.
