Just moved up to Washington from Los Angeles. My boyfriend and I are building a little homestead off the Hood Canal.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

newbie. but before i ever knew about couchsurfing, i drove across the states with my friend from the east to la. we made a pact that the entire drive (we took a month doing it!) we would only crash at people's places who we met along the way. no hostels, no hotels, no motels, no car sleeping. we met the most amazing people in small towns, in bars, in supermarkets, everywhere. you tell me how someone traveling across the states staying at best westerns could have met extreme mountain unicyclists in north dakota. or was it south? whatever. made me love this country at a time (bush era) i was really hating it.
