About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Spread Good Vibes And Help The World Become A Better Place!

ABOUT ME

My name is Mike and I live five hours north of Los Angeles in the Eastern Sierra Nevadas (one hour from Yosemite National Park), in a Town called Mammoth Lakes, with my fiance Jessica. My internship with the Town ends 1/31 and we'll be moving 100km north of San Francisco afterwards. We'll be in Western Europe for the first time between 2/21 and 3/17.

I like to think of myself as a good person; I'm empathetic and easy going, but occasionally intense and passionate about topics I'm really interested in. I always see multiple sides in a story, so you won't see me agitated or angry during discussions if we disagree. I'm going to understand your opinion if you understand mine :)

I love getting to know people with earnest and worldly conversation and I'm always willing to try new things. I say "yes" to new things.

I see the world through a geographic lens. I'm focused on recognizing inter-connectivity and demographic trends. I strive for a more egalitarian world that is less preoccupied with wealth & money and more captivated with beauty, life and preserving ecological diversity. I guess you could call me a pragmatic dreamer :)

PHILOSOPHY

"Fear less, hope more; eat less, chew more; whine less, breathe more; talk less, say more; hate less, love more; and all good things are yours." - Swedish Proverb

"If a friend is in trouble, don't annoy him by asking if there is anything you can do. Think up something appropriate and do it." - Edgar Watson Howe

"Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, its always your choice." - Wayne Dyer

"You can always tell a real friend: when you've made a fool of yourself he doesn't feel you've done a permanent job." - Laurence J. Peter

"God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it's me." - Author unknown
