Overview
About Me
I’m a traveller during the summer and a language teacher during the rest of the year. I love meeting people, chatting, and sharing views and experiences. During my trips I love meeting local people to better understand the place that I'm visiting and its culture. When I travel on my own, I do like to have somebody to meet up with. I also love hearing travellers' stories when I'm at home. That's why I'm here! I usually spend some time with my hosts/guests, having conversations while walking or having a coffee/dinner together.I also have a profile on Bewelcome: https://www.bewelcome.org/members/simonam I've had amazing experiences thanks to both networks and I hope to keep meeting amazing people.
Born and bred in Southern Italy, I love the sea and spending long hours at the beach. But I also like to swim in lakes and take a dip in creeks. I enjoy going hiking - walking in the nature makes me feel happy and relaxed.
I like reading novels (especially female authors) and I kind of regularly practice yoga.
I'm quite a good cook and I do appreciate good food, especially plant-based dishes and fish. From time to time I treat myself with a glass of wine. And yes, I have a sweet tooth...
I lived for a long time abroad, mainly Spain, but also Ireland and the UK. In 2012 I took a three month leave to travel - Nepal and India. In 2013 I left my routine behind (job, house, etc.) and lived for a while working in exchange for food and shelter - kind of long term woofing.
