Overview
About Me
My Wife and I just bought our first home in Ballarat.
I’ve previously hosted people from my crappy apartment and was able to offer everything I had (though it wasn’t much)
Now that I’m married I’ve been diagnosed with ASD+ADHD and it has meant cutting back on my people pleasing nature.
As such, depending on our needs at the time, I may not be able to offer a room inside the house.
We want to always have an emergency space so that nobody ever sleeps rough (that space is dry and warm) but it’s in a (insulated) shed.
As much as possible, I will seek to accommodate guests within our home where there is better access to kitchen, running water, shower and a toilet for example (which you will always have access to as guests but would have to come inside to use if we could only offer the shed at the time of your booking).
I say this not to discourage you from booking, but to ensure that you understand that if you request to stay and are not happy with the shed, the house is not much more comfortable and you may be disappointed.
I love meeting new people and learning new things.
I love to share a drink and a smoke (if that’s your thing)
More importantly I enjoy sharing food
I’ve only traveled overseas once but hosting feels very similar especially when you enjoy being a tourist in your own city.
Ballarat is a beautiful little town to explore and if we have the time we’d love to join you and share what we can.
Happy travels!

Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn language.
Happy to share crafts and sewing if you need repairs.
Music, art, food are all free flowing, happy to learn to appreciate tastes that aren’t natural to me.
If I have time I like to go gold panning in nearby towns and my wife and i enjoy hiking (particularly if there’s an historic site as the destination).
We also have two Bunnies that share our home, they have a lot to give if you have the time to pick some grass for them they’ll offer excellent brain chemicals for you.
