About Me

My name is Simon Bérubé and I am French Canadian.

Travelling has always been one of my greatest passions along with music and theatre. I am currently learning how to play the Ukulele, like every mainstream traveller I believe. Therefore, it would be my pleasure to play a few songs to anyone who would be willing to listen to me.

Back in Quebec, I am one of the many young TV and Movie actors that try to make their name in this field of work. However, acting is not my only interest in life, which is why I am also pushing studies in law in one of Montreal's French speaking universities.

I am interested in a lot of things, which is why compiling all of my passions in a list is probably an impossible task. However, I surely hope that this small introduction has helped provide you, dear reader, with some insight on who I am.

P.S: If you are interested in knowing my motives for travelling, you can refer to my paragraph on "Why I'm on Couchsurfing."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I was younger, I used to travel a lot with my parents. Their goal was to show me the world, but also to teach me how to explore it by straying away from the typical tourist's path. It's because of this that I am now on Couchsurfing. I believe the type of travelling that this website offers correlates with my expectations of tourism, because it makes adventures available for anyone and leads us, travellers, to see the world as it is without any magnifying lens to embellish it. I travel to listen to people's stories in a scene far away from the one I am usually in. If I have the chance to meet people who will be authentic in front of me, I will take it. Therefore, couch surfing is the method of travel that I want to prioritize when I leave home.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2016, I wanted to try as many extreme sports as possible. That year, I learned how to skydive, surf, snowboard and rock climb.

Teach, Learn, Share

I cannot teach you if I cannot look you in the eye.

I cannot learn from you if you are not willing to do the same.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am not the most skilled cook, but if help is required in the kitchen, it would be my pleasure to participate. I can do the dishes and will probably insist on doing them to compensate for the enormous service my hosts provide me with.

I can play some songs on the ukulele, if anyone is willing to listen to me.
