Overview
About Me
Let me introduce myself, I am Simon and I come from Normandy in France. I lived in Caen for 6 years as part of my studies where I obtained a degree in computer science and a master in international management.
After that, on November 1st 2017, I started a trip around the world for 8 months. This took me to Thailand, Laos, Burma, Vietnam, the Philippines and Australia where I am now. After Australia, New Zealand, Vanuatu, French Polynesia, Chile and Bolivia.
When I returned to France, I started my professional career as a Digital Transformation Consultant to become today a Manager (2023). At the same time, I started to get involved in a Rotaract Club association, more precisely the 'Fous du Roy', of which I have been the president for almost 2 years.
If I had to describe myself, I would say that I am an open-minded, empathetic person who likes to live life to the full. I try every day to do my best in everything that touches me closely or remotely. Whether it is for myself or for others. I like to push myself and to move forward.
I invite you to read my references, they will give you a wider vision of the person I can be.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing allows different people around the world to share special moments and I like it.
I like sharing, discovering and meeting. Furthermore I like enjoying time with friends and people. I think every one can bring something to the other. Thanks to Couchsurfing I have met exceptional people around the world and I hope it will continue. For example, when I was on Cebu Island, I was able to join a CS event to celebrate Sinulog Festival. This group, with whom I stayed for the duration of the festival and more, has become a kind of family.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
With the group I met on Cebu Island in Philippins for the festival, I had the opportunity for a few minutes to be a French celebrity. When we were in the parade, some friends blew to the public that I was one. Which is absolutely not the case. In the next few seconds, the people in front of me all wanted to take a selfie with me. Even the person in charge of security took one to say. It was a crazy moment that during the space of a few minutes to be a star.
Also in the Philippines, in Moalboal, when I snorkeled for the first time, I had the opportunity to swim with sea turtles. It's something ...
