Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION:
I recently moved to the Bronx after completing my masters in Waltham, MA. I am now starting a new position as an Assistant track and field coach for the throws at Columbia University.
ABOUT ME:
I have moved around a good amount the last few years from NY to the Netherlands to Massachusetts but am now in NYC. I often travel back to the Netherlands and Belgium to visit my family but for the time being I am content to enjoy my time here meeting new people from around the world as much as I can. I have dual citizenship in Belgium and United States.
PHILOSOPHY:
The good life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING:
I have done a bit of everything so far in several countries; meetups, hosted and surfed some couches and have never had a bad experience. I have made a number of new friends and am always looking forward for the adventures that come out of couchsurfing.

I have a pretty broad range of music from punk to jazz but current bands I listen to a lot include: Wavves, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, FIDLAR, Twin Peaks, the Kinks
For movies at the moment some top ones would be District 9, Calvary, Mr. Turner, Safety not Gauranteed, Chappie anything to do with Star Wars or Lord of the Rings.
Books: anything and everything I can find
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have competed in the Hammer and Discus throw in the Belgian National Track and Field Championships the past three years which has been very fun! (I won 25 euro and box of cookies for a third place finish once so I guess you can say I've gone Pro)
Teach, Learn, Share
New food, new drinks, new languages and new culture are all things I'd like to learn or share. I love talking about and learning the differences, connections and interesting things about other peoples cultures, and their perspectives on the world around them.
