I'm currently studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics at King's College London. Born and raised in Colombia, I want to make the most out of my years in Europe. Having recently completed a workshop on travel writing and creativity, I'm looking to find new experiences and keep writing about them, with the short/medium term objective of launching a travel blog that mixes 4 of my biggest passions: Visual Arts, Politics, Football and travel. They might seem very different from each other, but it is my goal to intertwine them in a coherent/inspiring way. I believe that each individual is much more than an individual passion or activity, and that we should focus on said integral personal development. Be faithful to ourselves.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I do not believe on traditional tourism, I always prefer to go to a place with a particular objetive in mind (an Art Fair, a Football match, a workshop, learning a language, etc). Therefore, I also love getting to know a place through the subjective eyes of someone who lives there, tired of the 'must-do's. I'm looking for that one bar you love, that café with a wonderful view, that particular window you like; what the Argentinian Travel Writer Aniko Villalba defines as a: 'Subjective Travel Map'.

For that same reason, I want to show MY London. Take you to all those places and help everyone to acquire that philosophy when travelling.

Música, películas y libros

I love some good Salsa and Son Cubano. Bolero's are wonderful as well. Mostly listen to music in Spanish. For a few groups see: Buena Fe, Calle 13 (Residente), Chocquibtown, Jorge Drexler, Buenavista Social Club.

Gabriel García Márquez is my favourite writer, and a main source of inspiration when I write. Cien Años de Soledad is the definition of Masterpiece. Aniko Villalba for Travel Writing, Leonardo Padura for Novel, his 'Un hombre que amaba a los perros' is my favourite book.

For a nice movie, 'Diarios de Motocicleta', 'Nuestros Amantes'. Please DONT WATCH 'NARCOS'! Colombia is much more than that, I am fully willing to show that myself.
