About Me

Hi, nice to meet you! I'm Simon and quite new to this platform. I'm currently planning my semi-road trip to Florida, where I want to meet new people who can show me around. I like all kinds of stuff, especially when it can be done in a bar, involves live music, or other interesting events. I like exploring new cultures and I prefer places that are not overrun by tourists.

I love dogs and I will definitely try to befriend yours :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Being on a roadtrip means to meet a lot of new people, make new friends, and kind of feel at home anywhere. I think couchsurfing is a perfect way to meet open-minded people who I can spend time with, and who know special places in their area. And yes.... couchsurfing is cheaper than renting hotel rooms.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music has become very diverse in the past years, but if I had to name a certain type of music, I guess I'd go with metal, punkrock, or hardrock, basically anything which makes most fun when played live.

I love horror movies, but also action films from the 80s/90s. Just like you (probably) I like bingewatching stuff on Netflix (e.g. Stranger Things, Brooklynn 99), so I hope this counts as movies too.

I do not have a particular favorite book, but I can give you a recommondation of one I've read recently: Dietland by Sarai Walker. Thank me later.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't like to boast, but I was awarded the title "Intern of the Year" once. By myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach, learn, share as much as you can! There is really not limit if we find a connection to each other!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, I can tell you one thing or another about Germany. Also, I really like to talk about the things I've mentioned in "My interests". And I can (and will) absolutely share drinks and food. If you have special requests, you can let me know before I come to the USA. By law, I cannot bring you a Kinder egg, though. I'm sorry.

Countries I’ve Visited

Croatia, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Scotland
