Hello!

I'm Simon! I am currently on exchange in Rotterdam finishing up my studies in Business Administration. I am a very outgoing, friendly and easy going guy who has been fortunate enough to travel a fair bit.

Aside from travelling, I am passionate about tech / start ups, and politics. I love meeting new people, and having a good time.

Some fun facts about me:
- I'm left handed
- I've been playing water polo for 14 years
- I don't have a drivers license

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

After I am done my exchange, I am looking to travel for a month before heading back to Canada. I'm on Couchsurfing because I want to get to know people from around the world and experience the places I visit from a local perspective.

I have visited places and stayed with friends in the past, and my experience has been incredible as a result, so I am hoping to make new friends and experience something similar.

Música, películas y libros

Music - I'll listen to just about anything aside from country and rap. I really like EDM, Top 40 and Pop. I've seen Rihanna, Lady Gaga, the Black Eyed Peas and a number of Dutch DJs (Martin Garrix, Afrojack, Armin Van Buren etc) live.

Movies - One of my favourite movies of all time is a French movie called 'Amélie' but generally speaking I'm more of a TV guy.

Books- I love to read. My current favourites include Tiny Beautiful Things by Cheryl Strayed, The Foundation Trilogy by Isaac Asimov and The Conquest of Happiness by Bertrand Russell.

I love to cook, and am happy to teach and talk about Canada. I am also always interested to learn more about different cultures and languages.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I am happy to help out with cleaning, cooking etc. Canada doesn't really have a notable cuisine but I'm happy to cook some of my favourite dishes (call them North America).
