Hi!
My name is Simon and I'm a 23 years old Swedish guy. I'm for the moment in my last year in university, Lunds University in southern Sweden, and my major is Environmental Science! Right now I'm on an exchange semester at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, and I love it! I always dreamt about studying in the U.S. and be a part of everyday american life.

I love being outside doing sports, hiking, mountain biking and just doing stuff in the nature! I love traveling and meeting people from different cultures; one of my best experiences was backpacking in South America.

My personality: funny, social, curious, open minded and down to earth, among other things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and learning from their culture! To broader you visions and it develops your knowledge and thinking. In this global world everything we do affects other people on the earth so we really have to understand what these impacts could be.

I'm on Couchsurfing because this is the easiest way of getting into the everyday life of people; you get to see the culture from inside and the ups and downs of it! And its free! All this knowledge that you get is offered to you for free, thats uncommon in this world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Im a big hiphop fan. To name a few that The Notorious BIG, Eminem, Jay Z, J cole, Petter (Swedish), Ison & Fille (Swedish).

Movies: I must say Avatar. The feeling when he's able to walk in his Avatar and explore the new world is incredible. I get goosebumps each time I watch it. Then much of the Woody Allen movies are really close to heart. Manhattan especially.

Books: Lord of the rings was really good. The Death Gate Cycle (Fantsay). The Shadow of the Wind.
