Interested in almost everything, enthusiastic, active, outgoing and laid back. Simon has been a dentist, scuba dived at an advanced level, completed an Ironman triathlon and trekked two hundred kilometres with just the clothes on his back and a soap container in his pocket. He started what is now Australia’s most famous windsurfing event, the Ledge to Lancelin Sailboard Race -33 years later and  it is still running and it is one of the world’s biggest and longest windsurfing competitions. His writing for sporting magazines was highly acclaimed by those associated with the sports of wave skiing and triathlons. Recently two years were spent living in and photographing Bali and Laos, where he opened a photographic studio. He has won several photographic prizes. 
  He has also worked on building sites, picked bad peas from a conveyor belt, cut asparagus, been a barman, managed an amusement centre, renovated investment houses, spent eighteen months as a day trader on the stock market, photographed weddings and helped run a guest house in Laos. Married twice he has two beautiful daughters, both voices of reason and his greatest friends. One is publishing her eighteenth children's book. He has an everlasting passion for life and currently lives alone in Tasmania by the water where he writes. He needs a dog.

Walked 200 kilometres in the desert outback with the clothes on my back, two water bottles and a soap container with the essentials for surviving. Ate two very small fish in the week solos some weight.
