I'm currently a PhD student in Tasmania (the large island south of the eastern part of Australia). In between studying, I sometimes do a bit of teaching, which I enjoy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At the moment, I am just hoping to surf other peoples couches, but I hope in the future I will be able to host people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't listen to a lot of music, but I like watching movies and occasionally read books. My favourites books and movies are usually science fiction, but I also watch a lot of TV shows, mainly comedies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Maybe not exactly amazing, but here are some experiences I won't forget:

- got viciously mobbed by deer in Nara
- stayed in a ghost-suburb in Guangzhou
- met people half way across the world who have been to my little city
- ice-skated on the lake at the Summer palace in Beijing
- watched North Korean peasants from across the river in South Korea
