ABOUT ME

I started expierencing travelling when I visited my father in Canada in the year 2005 and since this I never really stopped.
Travelling with nothing else but a backpack, a tent and a sleeping bag - and sometimes after long trips with the canoe or the bicycle I hope for a comfortable couch ;)

That was actually 8 or 9 years ago: now settled in Vienna. Writing books about my memories travelling through Africa and Eastern Europe merged with my economic knowledge.. Sometimes explaining things with LEGO.

Just restarting this account. Checking out, what happened to couchsurfing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am now in Graz starting my studies after around 3 years of travelling through Europe, close East and Africa.
So I am just a little bit settled down, but always on the jump next.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For me it was surprisingly, how open the people were and how they took care about a stranger coming in with a boat or bicycle even off the road in sudanese desert.

Interests

At the moment I am pretty busy in studying political economy - after travelling through Canada, Europe (East and West!), Africa and the Close East I am a little bit late (about 6 years, most people in my age already graduate this year)

Music, Movies, and Books

The Afghan Whigs, the Clash, Twillight Singers, mainly rock I try to collect from all over the world. Though I am pretty liberal and try to listen to everything - but if you don't agree that Mark Lanegan is the greatest songwriter in the world, we need to meet up and I tell you, why you are wrong ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Boattrip on a really really wild river in the Yukon Territory in Canada,
Paddling down the Danube with a Kajak
going with the bicycle from Egypt through the Sahara down to Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda

Teach, Learn, Share

survival training in the nature, cooking bugs on open fire and and making drinking water ;)
Just a joke, I am not really experienced in living without a supermarket, but I want to learn!
