About Me

Hi guys,
We are Sim and Angela and we're deaf.

We started this journey back in 2022-2023 with a one way ticket, we are slow and conscious travelers, we love to have a full immersion in cultures and traditions, that's why we are here, to have a local and unique experience in the country.
We like to get lost on the streets, long walks with an open heart and eyes ready to capture and archive in our memories special moments.
At the moment we are traveling separately for some time, but most of the time we explore the cities and countries together.

We are very sociable and friendly people, we love to cook homemade meals (Angela is a master at cooking italian food) and share them with friends.
We're sign language users, we can teach you some signs to communicate with us or we can write everything down.

We strongly believe in respect and to spread awareness about deaf people, we can travel and do everything by ourselves. There are no limits with our disability and our journey is the proof!

We have traveled across Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore by hitchhiking, it was wonderful to see how many people were available to give their time and their car seat to us.

We are looking forward to meet you, to have an amazing experience with you, this will allow us to grow up and flourish as human beings, life and people are precious teachers and we are here to learn everyday.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are on Couchsurfing because, while traveling, we discovered that sharing a piece of your home with someone you never thought you'd meet is a beautiful experience, it makes the journey much more enjoyable. It's like having a piece of home with you wherever you go. Real confrontation with different cultures usually happens in private spaces, where you see people's lives or live with them for a while. We have met the most wonderful people on this platform, and they will always have a place in our hearts and memories.
