About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make friends from all over the world and visit new places

ABOUT ME

I'm a 22 year-old British student from southwest England. I recently graduated in French and German. Spending a year in Paris as part of my degree gave me the taste for travel and a wish to meet new people from across the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Meet as many cool people as possible and be realistic about your hopes and ambitions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will be moving to London very soon and would be keen to host Couchsurfers who are visiting the city. At the moment I'm still living with parents so it's not possible yet though!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm totally new to Couchsurfing but I've met lots of cool people this year who have told me about it and have had only positive experiences of it.

Interests

I love sampling different countries' culture and especially food and drink! Whenever I'm in a new place I try to get off the generic and monotonous tourist trail and find places with character down the side streets. At home I enjoy playing tennis and squash, cycling and music. I used to have an on-off job yodelling at functions such as wedding receptions. I love the piano and if I had a spare £100,000 I would buy a Steinway grand piano rather than a fast car or holiday home.

Music, Movies, and Books

After 4 years of intense university education I am having a year off reading too much. I enjoy all types of music: I play French 19th-century impressionistic pieces but also listen to Darwin Deez. Music for me is more than the piece. It's about the people I'm with, where I am and how I'm feeling. And I'm constantly enjoying new lives if music I knew nothing about, the latest being Balkan music!
