I live in the north of France, where I work as a freelance sports journalist. I am obviously fond of sports, especially football, that I practice (as weel as indoor football and running), and I''ll be in Russia from the beginning of may to the end of july/august, to live the World Cup and the craze for it, around and inside the stadiums, and to meet supporters from all around the world with a view to writing articles, blogging and sharing pictures and videos on the social networks, essentially based on the supporters and the atmosphere of the event.

Apart from sports, I am very interested in foreign languages and cultures, and speak english, spanish and portuguese. I recently started studying russian and will try, through this travel, to improve it ! I am eager to discover the world and, to the extent, do like travelling, meeting people from abroad and learn on their countries, customs, cultures and food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because during my stay in Russia, I'd like to meet and be hosted by many football fans, to exchange on our common passion, share our experiences linked with that sport and that passion, and maybe share that moments to other football fans through articles, portraits, interviews, pictures or videos !

To me, couchsurfing is the best way to travel, because it might make me discover countries, regions and towns through people that know and live it everyday. Thanks to couchsurfing, I want to meet people from all over the world when travelling, learn on their passions, culture, customs, and life experiences, but also share with themselves what defines me. Couchsurfing is also a good opportunity to practice foreign languages with them, to share good moments and get to know every part and aspect of their country or hometown.

Interests

I am absolutely fond of sports, especially football, that I practice and teach. My passion for sports is such that I want my job to be essentially based on it, dealing with football, or also basket-ball, handball, formula one, tennis, etc.
I am also keen on foreign languages : I graduated in english and spanish, then during my journalism studies I studied in Brazil and therefore talk portuguese, and I started studying swedish and italian. I am know studying russian ! I also pay much interest to foreign cultures and to travels : I already visited more than 20 countries, and plan to go to Spain, Scotland and Ireland soon.

Music, Movies, and Books

Apart from comics and television series, I don't spend that much time reading or watching movies, but on that subject i'm very open-minded, and not too demanding. I listen to various kinds of music (electro, pop, rock, techno, rock'n'roll, etc) and since i don't have a big musical culture, i am always willing to discover new artists or bands, whatever their style !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2014, i've been backpacking in South America, through Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia and Brasil. There i whitnessed the incredible beauty of nature, of that region's landscapes and people. I warmly recommend that region to you ! Thank God i did not only do one amazing thing in my life, but that travel in South America, as well as my travel in Asia (Taiwan and Philippins), my semester in Brasil as an exchange student, the international tournament for football fans that i won in England are great memories. But i'd say that my whole life is always made of unforgettable moments !

I can't host people at the moment, but as an host I can prepare a good meal or cocktail for you, and together we could share our life experiences, play boardgames, go partying, practice sports, etc... it's up to you !
