About Me

We are a veterinary couple, we have been together since the age of 20. Antoineta has her clinic in the village (Requinoa) she attend mainly dogs and cats and I work with farm animals, mainly cows and horses. We have a son and a daughter, 11 year old Martin and 6 year old Sofia. We like family walking through wild places looking at different plants and animals. We like gardening, watching documentaries, rock climbing, playing guitar, cooking and swimming in the pool. Our house is located in a very quiet rural area, but at the same time very close. We are one hour south of Santiago, 15 minutes south of Rancagua and 5 minutes to the west of Requinoa. We have a comfortable couch in a large living room. We have a large garden with swimming pool. Nice shadows also for camping. It's a little tricky to get to but worth it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have traveled as backpackers a lot through Chile and a few in other countries in America and always our trips were nurtured by loving people who gave us hospitality. We are happy to reciprocate on behalf of these people, hospitality to other travelers. We think that the town where we live is a beautiful place and very few tourists come here. It is an ideal place to start and finish a journey through Chile. Less than 2 hours away from our home you can visit the great city of Santiago, the culture of Valparaiso, the waves of Pichilemu and other places to surf, the snowy mountains of the Andes, the vineyards of Maipo, Cachapoal and Colchagua or The birds of the sclerophyllous forest and coastal wetlands. This land has a rich biodiversity and a beautiful peasant tradition, we are convinced that tourism helps to preserve both.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like the song that compromises my thinking, especially local sounds and instruments from every part of the world, although we listen and enjoy a great variety of music. We like to see wildlife and travel documentaries as well as cartoon movies with children. Ocationally we read novels, philosophy and science.
