My name is Simone, I am currently working as a consultant/project manager, and thanks to my study program in Management and International Business, I had the chance to travel and live around Italy and Europe, moving from Florence to Turin, then Berlin (both for a year), Maastricht (NL) and Paris (both for four months).
During my study period and also after I started working, I always set a budget for trips, even short ones, in order to visit new places and learn something new from cultures and from people.
Indeed, I love meeting new people and in particular people from new and different countries, as a great way to practice my English, and to have the chance to make a cultural exchange with those people I meet in each country, learning all the time new things and enhance my knowledge.
That's why traveling is always one of my priorities and why I really love exploring always new countries and new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel somewhere I have been very often hosted by local people, and guided by them around the city. This aspect ensured me to stay always in a super comfortable environment and appreciate the place much better than being a tourist alone, since the local host always guided me around the city, explaining me all the most interesting features and giving me a real point of view of a local.
I don't want to miss this chance in all the cities where I do not know local people in advance.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classical music, considering that I’ve played piano for several years and I hold a piano diploma.
I love reading and watching comedies and action movies.
But the most important thing about me: I love spending my time with people and learn from new cultures, as I already said in the description above.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sang and danced Gangnam style in a Thai outdoor pub on the island of Ko Tao, and all people sitting at the pub started singing and dancing around me! I got a standing ovation and I was the star of the night!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am definitely super polite and respectful of all the rules. I am polite and I do not need to disturb and bother the others.
I am a total hater of smoke, so I do not bring any kind of cigarette in the home of the host.
I am very friendly so I really like spending time with the host, and whereas necessary, I can be very collaborative, in order not to charge my host of too stuff to do.
