I think, that it is a great concept. I love to travel, but tend to have a rather small budget. As a plus, I love meeting new friends.

I love historical and fantasy films, as I enjoy the great costumes. (Lord of the rings, Elizabeth, Marie Antoinette ...)
I also like movies that make me laugh. (Little Miss Sunshine, Death at a funeral...)

Getting out of my comfort zone and doing things, I wouldn't have done otherwise. In the end, those things, tend to be the best experiences. :)
