About Me

I'm a devoted language teacher and writer! I've started traveling since I was in school and this made me fall in love with languages and even shaped my very career. Born in Italy, I studied in Scotland, travelled all over Europe and finally ended up working in China!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to this website, but not to traveling and living with people at all. I had to register!

My idea of traveling is getting to know the pulse and the people of a place! I believe that is the true heart of exploring, from a geographic and a cultural point of view. I've always shared rooms and apartments since I left home at the age of 25 and that made my life just rich and beautiful. So, what best way there is to travel by making good friends!

Music, Movies, and Books

When I was a boy I used to play the guitar, especially hard rock music. Then I focused on my studies and traveling around I expanded my listening horizons. I like pretty much everything that's well played and recorded!
Currently I'm in love with Jazz music, but I'm also exploring electronic and ambient music. I even worked on some ambient music production with some friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Besides just going to live in China with no perspective and no knowledge of the language after my university, not much!

I spent nights in random woods in Scotland and on Chinese mountains though.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching English and Italian is my job so I can share that, first of all! (a little bit of German but basic)

Besides that, my main hobby is literature. So I can recommend you a lot of good books, poems, and we can talk about writing if you're interested!

But I'm also really passionate about the Chinese art of tea and tea culture, that I've studied and explored a lot for years. That's a really healthy and relaxing art to learn.

I know I'm Italian but I still need to learn how to cook... if you can teach me you'd do me a great favour!
I usually love to learn anything possible from people, especially their culture and stories, so you're very welcome to prepare your grandparents repertoire.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My really good company! (besides a relative good skill in cleaning!)
