About Me
Hi, fellow adventurers!
In love with this life, grateful to have the opportunity to connect and explore in all of the most beautiful, unexpected corners of our planet. :)
Got my BA in Psychology and Philosophy in 2023, worked for a crisis hotline for two years while studying, and after a travelling/experiencing life hiatus in 2024, I’m working with ex-convicts and people in recovery now for a non-profit here in Albuquerque. I’m continuously inspired by the resiliency and heart of the people I work with!! So grateful to be doing what I do. I’m planning on starting my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling next January, and hope to have plenty of travels until then!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm unsure exactly where the next chapter of my life will lead, but I know I want to take a break from the classroom and immerse myself in experiential learning - and the best sources of information are people! Connection is what infuses color and warmth into life, and I've learned the most special connections happen in the most unexpected circumstances.
I love the spirit of Couchsurfing, and during my time abroad, I'd like to skip the big tours and not only learn about the beautiful place around me from someone who knows it best, but make a meaningful connection. I'm grateful to be trusted into your space, and I want to make sure my stay is engaging and fulfilling for us both!

Music, Movies, and Books
TOUGH question. I love movies (if you're ever in Albuquerque, check out The Guild for eclectic cinema showings!!), and music keeps me sane. I like anything with a good base line and some synth thrown in, and I have a special place in my heart for 80s synth pop. As for films:
Movies: Swiss Army Man, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Moonrise Kingdom.
TV Show: Severance, the X-Files
Book: Homo Irrealis by Andre Aciman
Genre: Dystopian fiction + all KINDS of essays!!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I visited Iceland in 2016 and I went snorkeling through the Silfra Fissure! We drank the naturally filtered glacier water as we swam and my hair froze solid the moment we left the water; the natural beauty around us made the experience even more incredible.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
- I love life. Like David Bowie said, the greatest form of worship is to LIVE. Whether it’s from my background in psychology, my personal spiritual practice, or general life experience (the master teacher), I’m happy to offer my unique lens through which I see the world. Maybe that’s in the form of teaching watercolor, theatrical improv, or crafting an intentional ritual, but let’s teach and learn together!
- I love kiddos and have worked with teens directly in my four years as a camp counselor, so if you have a family, I'd love to share time together and teach games, art, activities, etc.
Learn:
- I have an open heart and a curious mind; I love listening to others share their passions, especially if it's entirely unfamiliar to me. If you have a favorite activity, writer, band, local coffee shop, existential problem, etc., let's explore it.
- I would love to learn how to surf better! I've been surfing twice, and while I couldn’t get up once the first time in Cali, I successfully redeemed myself in Tauranga, New Zealand! >:-)
Share:
- This is what Couchsurfing is all about! Let's share a meal, a moment, or a memory. Thank you for being willing to accept a stranger into your home!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to cook for us during my stay, though my culinary expertise may not be very diversified. My homemade pesto's perfect for a pasta or pizza night (as is my vegan spaghetti), and breakfast for dinner is a specialty. Experimenting with new recipes together could be fun too!
I can't play any instruments very well, but I love to sing; so if you've got a guitar or piano, let's have a jam session.
